I'm looking for a really nice full tower case, and if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should get let me know.(preferably 150 or below but nothing above 200).

Also looking for another computer case for use as a Server. Not looking for anything fancy, and probably a plain case would be preferred as I'd like to just leave it running pretty much all the time as a data server. This I'd prefer to get second hand from someone on campus so if anyone has a computer case lying around collecting dust I'm interested.

i suggest the antec 1200 or 1300 (forgot which it is) for the fulltower case, one of my old teamates had it and loved it.

I have this case. http://www.uniquepcgear.com/bspgacab.html
http://www.hardwarecooling.com/aerocool ... p-684.html
Review webpage for more pics - http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/cases/aer ... /index.htm

An Aerocool Spiral Galaxies Full Tower. I love it. The hard drives are located above the motherboard allowing for lots and lots of space for airflow over the motherboard. I was able to route almost all of my cables behind the motherboard panel and 5.25 in. bays. only the motherboard power cables and my IDE cables are clearly visible from the window. The best thing about it to is that it's only about $80-$100. Just be sure your 4 pin/8 pin motherboard power connector is long enough. If you want, I can send you some pics of my PC so you can see how clean (wire wise) I was able to make it, even with all of the shit I have in it.

Quick specs
-2x 120mm fans
-1x 80mm fan
-5x 5.25in. ext. bays
-2x 3.5in. ext. bays
-6x 3.5in. int. bays
-Tool less hd's/optical's/etc.
-Tool less MB expansion slots (I took mine off)
-Power Supply Dampeners
-compatible up to extended ATX MB format
-Lots and Lots of space :)

I like the look of the case and the design seems good, but I can't seem to find it in stock on a site that I'd feel comfortable buying from. :(

Yeah, I haven't been able to find it on major websites either. I bought mine almost 3 years ago.

To anyone who is interested:

I ended up getting a Rocket fish case. It's actually manufactured by Lian Li and then rebranded and sold at Best Buy (or it was, I think they discontinued it though). Amazing case though, and I highly recommend it to anyone who can manage to get their hands on one.

This is hands down the best case I've worked with as far as putting it all together goes, the materials seem to be high quality, and though it doesn't have all the same bells and whistles you'll get from a full priced Lian-Li case, for a little under $100 (was around $50 at Best Buy for a bit actually) it's hard to complain. Much preferred over any case I've dealt with including:

Thermaltake Armor
Thermaltake Soprano
ABS El Diablo
Apevia X-Cruiser
Xion Dazl

Here are pics and a forum where it has been talked about.

That case is hot. Very clean looking too. I wish they made one like that that had an inverted MB panel. I really like the look of them. Really good find though.

Yeah, if I was any good at case modding I'd add a fan or two to the top of it (I saw one mod with three), but I don't wanna mess up my pretteh case. lol.

I'm upgrading my computer in the next couple weeks but I'm using my same case, that Aerocool Spiral Galaxies one. But before I put the new stuff in, I'm gonna take everything out and spray paint all the non painted interior surfaces black. The MB I'm getting is black (eVGA) and I have had a black and red theme to my case. The only thing I haven't decided on was what kind of black; gloss, semi-gloss, or flat black. Any suggestions?

flat black. It'll keep finger prints down (though that shouldn't be too much of an issue on the inside of a case) and it'll cover scratches. Also, it looks way cooler.

Hmm, my step-dad told me that gloss would probably show dust the least and flat the most. Can anyone else confirm this? I haven't had much experience in using the different types of black.

Watch some old eps of systm on rev3 - if you haven't alreeady. There were a couple about a year ago that dealt specifically with spraypainting computers. I rattle canned my 4th gen iPod using mostly patrick norton's advice
