The problem has been narrowed down to one of the exchange protocol servers. Approximately 48,000 messages are sitting in the queue directory, with dates ranging back to the 8th.

Yeah, I'm gettin mail from last week! Its kind of frigging useless now, you know? CIS should figure out what's going on with this: if its faulty equipment, replace it; if its faulty workers, replace them. This is ridiculus.
Gentlemen, UMR's email is a service provided to the students. Students have the option whether or not to actually use this service. Classes can NOT require you to use an UMR email address, in fact, nothing in Rolla or UMR can. Here's the best part...you'll LOVE this...YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE IT! So stop the bitching, if you don't like the problems, then stop using the service! Get a freaking hotmail account and be done with it.
To reiterate my point...
(im a gay frat boy)

Cuz hotmail is so much better Just messing with you. But honestly, although we don't HAVE to use the UMR e-mail system, we do HAVE to pay an annual computing fee, that is for use of the network as well as an e-mail account. In return for the money that I fork over to UMR, I think it's fair to expect an operational e-mail account that doesn't randomly lose e-mails and crash.

Actually, the adminisrators and so forth see UMR's email service as a approved method of informing students of news. Therefore you CAN'T just ignore your umr email. Doing so could result in missing valuable and nessecary info. Thus resulting in very bad things. So fine choose to not use it but the university doesn't require you to be notified by any other means if you were sent an email.
Ryan, very mature. Does dormie life have you so depressed and jealous of fraternity members that you have to change their posts to appear "cool" and somehow satiate that growing pit of hatred you have for all others who actually have a life?
And to the rest of you, the "announcements" are not just sent over the web, they are placed online where they can be viewed at any time. Also, you can have your published email and forwarding information via star, if you ever had the common sense to look or even, God forbid, ask someone. Its under address information.
And to the oh so intelligent life form who thinks their computer fee pays for internet connection, email service, all support of all computer labs on campus, and a freaking million other things, get a clue dude. Your fee doesn't even pay the salary of one employee for one day.

What?
What?
If some one takes 15 hours the computing fee is 144.00 bucks. (And another 26 for Ethernet/cable maybe) I saw about 35 CIS employees on their page. UMR has about 4700 students on campus. If just the computing fees (not cable/Ethernet) went to the salaries and nothing else, it's like an average of 38k a year for per person.
I think its pretty reasonable to say that on average our fee could very well pay the cis salaries, let alone the fee could easily pay one day of one persons salary.

Wow, I sure hope that all of the members of Sig Pi arent as fucking retarded as you are. Cause that would be bad.

mature? you are the one that posted in all caps 300 times "STOPYOURBITCHING" or something of that nature. And if you look at the bottom of your post, it says who fixed it.... and i dont believe it was ryan. It wasnt changed to appear cool, or because you were a frat guy. It was cause you were being lame.

Here we go on the whole fraternity thing. Why not just call Anonymous a doof and get on with it.
Is there some kind of contest to see who can say that the most? this isnt about the whole fraternity thing. Just one individual. reread it if necessary.
