You have to have Warsow there. Keep up the tradition. Dota was extremely popular the past couple lans, so I'd recommend that as well.

Yes, you really really should have.

DotA, Starcraft, and if logistics don't prevent console gaming, Rock Band/Guitar Hero and Melee/Brawl can make respectable tournament games in addition to being very fun.

TF2/L4D would be neat, though the former would require a lot of interest in order to actually have proper matches. If this is also polling for interest in addition to ideas, however, I wouldn't actually play these since I'm too lazy to move my desktop anywhere (and am thus confined to my crappy GMA 950-bearing laptop).

If the free but legal crowd wants to experiment with something, maybe look into Balanced Annihilation (learn more here: http://springrts.com/ ). There'd be a level playing field since I doubt anyone's actually played this. This includes myself, so yeah, the recommendation is based only on word of mouth and how cool Total Annihilation was.
