Apparently my Realtek (read realshit) NIC doesnt work worth a damn on the network... since its a notebook i have to go USB style on it... so my question is:
A) Does anyone know if they'll work on the network?
b) does someone have one for sale?
USB ethernet adapters will work with the network just fine...There isn't much difference between them and the 10/100 cards except for the cards will go faster (which doesn't help on UMR's network because everything is 10 based).
I have a Linksys USB ethernet adapter that I'm looking to get around $8 for. Several available. Works with win2k, winxp, win98...etc and all linux flavors as well. Nothing special about it.

In case email is down, which I think it is, I'll take it... either email me at nugatoryninja@hotmail.com or post again on seek, and we'll work out a time.
