In windows XP I can not mount drives using samba if they have a password. (specificaly my afs acount space)
does any one know how to set XP to use clear test passwords, or plain text.

go to the Local Security Policy under Admin Tools
then local policies -> security options
and its called Microsoft Network Client: SEnd Unencrypted password to SMB Server
