Alright, dumb question i know but I need to know how to share files on network with Win2k without it asking for a damned pass, stupid built in safety features :(

go to Computer Management. Then Local Users and Groups. Right click on Guest and then properties. uncheck the "account disabled" box.

alright, bear with me here I got myself on the network, but now when I try to access files it gives me permission denied crap. I've tried tweaking the permissions, but to no avail. Bit more help please :)

if you've enalbed guest on that computer it should be ok. if its ntfs try checking under drive properties then security and make sure everyone has read rights..

Also remember DENY permissions overide all ALLOW permissions ..
