 Post subject: St. pats parties

Just wondering if there are any independent parties coming up that will be any good, since I'm not cool enough to go to a frat party. Were independent parties good last year? good enough for my "friends" to come all the way down?

I'm pretty sure the greek parties are open to all UMR students during St. Pats.
But I don't know how easy it will be to get in friends from other schools without them being on a guestlist.

You'd be amazed. $5 at the door does wonders.

there's a campus wide fraternity list, hard to get on though, unless you are in a fraternity that is

So long as you even have one friend in a frat you can get on the list, it's really really easy. I'm on it, though I don't think I've been to more than one or two frat parties....They just weren't my kind of fun....must have been shitty ones.

I'm the guy who makes those lists. All you have to do is ask... that's it, just ask someone in a greek house to be put on the list. (Not me, wrong person to ask).

There are 19 Fraternities and 4 Sororities that can add people. 30% of Campus is Greek. Chances are one of your friends are Greek, just ask. Anyways, I can't speak for everyone, but usually if you have a UMR ID you won't have a problem getting into the St Pat's Parties. Ever wonder how so many girls/guys come from other campus’s and get in? Same thing.

Just remember to follow the Greek Rules:

21 to carry
no bottles
follow house rules
don't be stupid

To get on the "campus wide guest list" (assuming you're talking about the Fraternity-wide guest list, you just have to be on a single house's guest list.

When you go to a party, the person at the door just asks what house you're affiliated with. You say "Sig Nu," or "AEPi," or "Triangle," or whatever, the person flips to that page, and looks for your name. Simple as that.

I think that answered your question.

Kappa Sigma will have a live band on Saturday night. No cover, we are just going to eat the cost and have a good time.
