ya, so we have a laser printer that has always been hooked up toa dedicated computer to connect it to our network. everyone in our house could print to the printer. it was great! but we got rid of the computers, and now all we have is a xerox machine. the printer DOES have a 10/100 ethernet port on it, and can be run as it's own printer without a computer. would anyone know how to set it up? i should probably just try and find the manual but hey maybe someone knows hwo to set up printers

Usually you can hook it up, and there should be like a touchpanel on the copier, or some other sort of interface in which to get a menu to set its IP or set it to use DHCP and make a print server out of itself. If you have the model name/number you could probably find an online manual for it. It'd be a good task for a comp. sci or IST in your house.
