yea so im looking to get a new card for my comptuer, i got stuck with a gforce 4 mx 440, not quite what i thought i was getting but its still a decent card for $75 when i got it. ive got about $250 to put into getting a sweet ass card, looking to go ati, but cant decide which chipset, 9600 or 9800, reg, se, pro, xt, all in wounder. Gahh so many choices and such a price range. Im good with hardware but vid cards are not my bag of nuts, so could use a little advice on what card to get and where to get it cheaper

If you are going to get a card just to get you buy till this fall, either go with a 9600XT, or a 9800Pro. AIW cards are still hella expensive ($100 premium), and the 9800XT isnt worth the money.
Right now ATi has the tradeup program pricing the 9800Pro (full retail direct from ATi) at $199 plus shipping ($15 for standard, $20 for 2day). Even with those crazy shipping costs, a brand new 9800Pro will run you only $215.
You can send in ANY video card for the tradeup ($50 trade-in value). ISA, crappy PCI, etc. Doesnt even specify that the card has to even work.
I just ordered one, and it will be here by wednesday or so.
9800Pro is a damn good deal if you are looking to get a card to tide you over till this fall. Will still hold a decent resale value on Ebay at that time...

Lol, so this is the Placky I've heard about. Dude, you -shouldn't- spend your weekends overclocking your processor. Should be getting LAID, man. Find a woman, or hell a man, and get laid!
