I don't... I know kde 3.1.4 has a few issues with smb integration... some times it stalls alot. I don't know if that is your issue or not. I have started going to http://seek because they detect that you are running linux and do the smb:// for you instead of using file:\\. I am using mandrake 9.2 (10 is out) and like I said above.. the only problem i get is with stuff stalling sometimes.
some people have fucked up systems and the download will die after a few seconds regardless of whether you are using windows or linux. i dont know if they are doing it on purpose or not.
try using seekant, it is a little smarter and will detect that you aren't using IE and change things accordingly. I know that it will work with konquorer (sp?). Unfortunately not enough people have opted in yet, so it is limitied with the files that it has.
