Now...I had to reboot just a second ago, unfortunately 6 people were downloading this from me. However only one listened to my advice and downloaded the rars rather than the iso. I said that for the exact reason that if you get disconnected because I have to restart or get a memory dump, or whatever, you at least have something and didn't waste your time. Come one people. I'm trying to help you out. It only takes like 5 minutes to extract it and at least you get something in situations like these.

Also, since I believe I'm the only one that has this at the moment. I request that those that download share out for at least enough time to get some bandwidth away from me. Not that hard people...just considerate. If I stumble across people not sharing stuff they download from me, or aren't sharing at all, there's a possibility of their IP being banned. Come one, just help disperse it for a bit to take all the action away from one or two people. Thanks guys.

dang dude... i think when i share files i accept the inherent risk that people will mooch off me and not share. that's just understood when you share a lot of shit. i think i have at least 40 gigs of random shit shared (it can't all be prime material though) and i'll always see 7 users, 8 users connected etc but i don't mind it.

but i agree about having other people to help share the files to keep the bandwidth away from you alone. i'm downloading the .rar's right now i'll probably throw them in a temp directory for the weekend

No, 0sec = the first with it.. I had it but who wants to share with 50 people on seek? You just end up being screwed on bandwidth. Best thing to do is privately distribute it then have everyone share it...

Oh, by the way, let me know if any of you are playing it on multiplayer. Hopefully you have the server fix ( its just a .nfo with explanation on how to run multiplayer ). Basically you just go to the console and type \connect 0.0.0.0 ... go here http://fc.belpark.net/ They have something called farcry mp, you just download it and put it in the root directory and load it instead of farcry.exe. It autoupdates and loads the current running servers. Its quite nice. Post on here if you put a server up or are going to be playing... Later

hey, who else thinks this game sucks. i played it for like 10 minutes and it has nothing origional, and too much story. i just want a game where i can hit enter on "START NEW GAME" and start blasting away baddies. throwing rocks? that didn't work. "sneaking around" that didn't work i just went in gung ho and shot the shit out of all of them. this leaves me by myself just wandering around a deserted island. whippie

How do you actually share files, and make sure that your files are being shared.

I'm pretty sure your supposed to put all your files in the shared files folder, but is there anything other than that to set it up for the network?

if you have winrar (well you need to get winrar) just open the origional .rar file and it joins all of the files together. then extract the .iso file, and i guess burn it on DVD if you can. if not, use daemon tools to emulate the dvd rom in your drive and run it........ yeah well whaever
