Alright looks like you have a decent start on gametypes, but here is my opinion from the numerous tourney's that I have been too.
FFA- If you want to do random split thats fine you don't have any real way to seed people I guess since you have never had a tourney here before. The gametypes are way too numerous though. Tone it down. FFA on a competitive level should be restricted to Rat Race and Derelict. That is the two main levels that professional organizations restrict FFA to, with the exception of possibly Battle Creek. I have seen Battle Creek used, but rarely and I have a feeling it too is about to be thrown out permanently. The reasons for Derelict and Rat Race only are numerous, I will try to explain a few. First off is host. Whether you believe it or not, notice it or not, host makes a differance. Ask any good player and they will tell you that there is a noticable differance between hosting and joining. Derelict and Rat Race are considered low lag maps. Prisoner will only decide who is on host box or not in FFA, assuming join box is not just absurdly better. While they may still be considered host advantage maps in a team game this is eliminated to a much larger degree in FFA because of the nature of the maps, which brings me to point two. It's a FFA so I assume you want it to be played as such. Maps like Hang 'Em High, Chill Out, Damnation, and Longest are very spawned dependant in FFA. If you spawn in the right spots you will get tons of free kills and the wrong spots will be continual spawn rape. Derelict atleast strives to make this fair because of its symmetricy and Rat Race does not really have one "best" spot to control unlike these other maps. Oh yeah and I don't really think that time is going to be you biggest issue here...I doubt that you are going to have 64 teams show up so make the FFA games go to 50 kills and the 1v1's go to 25 kills. That just in general makes for a better representation of who should advance and who should not.
General Thoughts on PoolPlay/Elimination- I personally think that you should pick either Team Slayer or CTF to do for the tourney. That way you find who is the best Team Slayer's or who is the best CTFer's, but if you want to do a mixed tourney atleast show some sort of pattern to the combination of TS/CTF. Pool Play is all TS and Elimination is all CTF....untill you get to the quarter finals and its all TS again? That is just random and doesn't really make any coherent since. You may just get rid of a good TS team in the CTF section and a good CTF team advances and then totally sucks at TS and your finals will then be really lame and boring. Once again for tiebreak you don't want prisoner in there. 4v4 its just not really fair for the non hosting team. If you want fair choose Chill Out, Damnation, Hang 'Em High. If you want to keep it exciting you probably want to choose Chill Out or Hang 'Em. Once again fairness of map should determine what is played. Damnation/Hang 'Em/Chill Out are not even maps for CTF. Chill Out CTF is just plain stupid for a tournemant. Wizard, Derelict, Longest, and Battle Creek(maybe debatable) are good for CTF. Hang 'Em High, Chill Out, Damnation are good for TS. Atleast for the elimination rounds. You may be able to sneak some other gametypes into pool play, only because they do not mean as much, but eliminating a team because they were off host prisoner TS is just stupid.
I am sure there are some other things I could mention. This is just what came to my mind while I read over it. If you are interested in my input from experience let me know and I'll help make suggestions. I am quite confident that I have made the most money in this area playing Halo competitivly for the xbox. Otherwise, feel free to host whatever set of rules/gametypes you want. I'm just trying to prevent someone from not liking your tourney because of something not up to the standard of competitive play.
Here's a few more suggestions from the revised gametype listings. I would suggest switching to Wizard for the 4 man FFA. Reason being that there is more powerups which allows for more people to have a chance at getting a powerup. If you do Battle Creek and someone gets away with inviso they should easily be able to obtain rocket and dominate the spawn killing the rest of the game. Atleast on Wizard you have to constantly watch the other powerups. With Battle Creek all you really are going to need is the inviso/rocket which are both located close to each other. If you want to keep Battle Creek in the FFA I suggest doing something like Battle Creek, Rat Race, and Derelict. In that order and repeating if necessary. With 3 rounds you already account for 32 players. Realistically I would be suprised to see anymore then that show up from Rolla. Truthfully, I would suggest making the 1v1 start at the round of 8, but whatever you decide on that....The problem with 4 man FFA is the easy possibility of teaming up. Which is easily doable and if you understand how, quite impossible to overcome as an individual against two people teamed.
The only other real suggestion I can think is on pool play make the choosing team take host on thier gametype and the joining team gets to choose color. Otherwise everyone is going to choose Hang 'Em High blue base for their gametype. The advantages of blue base far outweigh the advantage of host.
If I think of anything else I'll mention it too ya. Anyways good set up and nice web site. Good Luck getting people to turn out, because I think it would be cool to actually see a big tourney in Rolla again....
If there are less than 8 teams, the %'s are based on total entry fees received. We can't make guarantees of prize money (i.e. $20 for first place) if 2 teams show up. We wouldn't have the prize money to give out.
The %'s are voided if 8 teams show up.
Just read it more carefully, it does make sense, trust me.
EXAMPLE: If 6 teams show up, thats $240 of total prize money.
FFA 1st place will get... $36
FFA 2nd place will get... $12
Overall 1st place will get... $120 for the team
Overall 2nd place will get... $72 for the team
Does it make sense now?
Once 8 teams show up and pay the entry fee. The %'s mean nothing, and we will use the set value of prize money listed on the site.
NUBS! it all makes perfect sense. FFA winner gets 15%. But CTF winner gets 50%. Now what wouldn't make sense is for the FFA winner to make more than the main game winner. If you win FFA and your team wins the CTF you walk away with a combined 27.5% of ALL the earnings. Not bad for one person. Even if four teams show, that's 20$ per person for CTF winners.

Explain to me how it's a scam...
It's a tournament...
If we get at least 8 teams the prize money is real good for being this small...
If it's under 8, then 100% of all entry fee money is given away...
Now you're probably wondering where all the extra entry fee money goes if there are 8 teams.. Here's the answer -- food and drinks...
