Make your Chiefs vs. Broncos predictions here.

I think it will be a good game. I haven't looked at the spread yet, but I would expect Denver to win by at least a touchdown. It will be interesting if the new defensive-oriented scheme for the Broncs will work in stopping one of the best offenses in football last year.

EDIT: I just checked, the official spread is Denver by 3.

I gotta give the edge to Denver, but not by much.

Denver - 31
Chiefs - 28

Being a Browns fan and therefore hating Denver with an extreme passion I gotta hope that KC wins. But I think it will be a close and tough game because of Denvers off season defensive pickups.

Denver since it's a home game for them.

I am betting that the Chiefs will make a repeat of last season. You know, best fucking record in the NFL, then choke in the first round.

Not with the teams we play this year. It will be tough to get 13-3 again...in my opinion, if they get 13-3 with the schedule they have, they will have been "battle tested" enough to not choke in the first playoff game

Chiefs = choke artists

Remember years ago, they were done by less than a field goal, and from like 30 yards, the kicker missed and blew it? See, look, choke.

Last year. They got really cocky at the end, and lost their last two games, then got their asses handed to them in the first round. See, look, choke.

IF they somehow make it into the playoffs (no matter their record), I'd put my money on a first round choke. If they get past the first round, I can see them in the conferance finals, but only if they make the first round.

Second round, they got a first round bye.

Hmmmm since when was losing by 6 points getting your ass handed to you....last time I checked it wasn't. I think you are thinking of the donkey's first round game against Indy when they got smoked 42-10.

I don't remember the Chiefs seeming very cocky last season. Their defense was at the bottom of the league throughout the season. Everyone said their offense could only carry them so far, and they wouldn't be able to win the Superbowl if they couldn't stop the ball. It was a popular line sportswriters and casters loved to bring up again and again, and of course it was proven correct. They saw the train coming and couldn't do anything to stop it without a major scheme change that wasn't going to happen as long as Greg Robinson was there. As far as choking, that's debatable, as you're talking about a team that hadn't made the playoffs for 7 years prior to last season. Just making the playoffs was cause for celebration in KC. We aren't talking about the Red Sox or anything here. :wink:

Anyway, as far as this season goes, time will tell. We don't even have a starting receivers corps that's healthy enough to play right now.
