They used to be 24 hours, but business in the overnight dwindled, so they decided to reduce the number of hours they stay open. Simple as that. Go to Denny's.
We went there last night about eleven and noticed about four tables that didn't have drinks yet. We never saw anyone coming out to serve, and decided to go to Sonic after ten minutes or so. If they're only staying open until midnight, they should expect to get business until midnight. Steak and Shake is going downhill fast, lately.
the steak and shake here sucks....we sat at the window for 25 minutes...we asked for a refill on our drinks and they gave it to us...they need to hire more workers or something

Except for the fact that one time at the Rolla Denny's I was in the restroom and one of the employees didn't wash their hands.
I have not known them to stay open 24 hours consistently in the past 8 years. It sucks if they do not have good staff now. I know many UMR grads that got hired for awesome jobs while working at stake n shake when recruiters came in for a bite.

Don't forget about the "new" No smoking in the restaurant policy . Every other Steak N' Shake that I've been to has had a smoking section and you can light up whenever you freakin' please

Heh, something of these sort happened last year. And after we all got done eating and were ready to pay the bill? Nothing. We stood at the cash register, with 3-4 employees looking at us now and then. Guess they didn't want paid.

yup....we were about 10 seconds from walking out the door when somebody finally came and took our money.
