Just wanted to let everyone know that the "video game to end all video games" comes out tomorrow.

If you like RPG's, head to Wallmart tomorrow, and buy Fable.

We get a full month to play it before Halo 2.

Hope this game is worth the 4 year hype-fest that included the loss of countless hours in my "sad and boring" XBOX-less life from those telling me about how awesome this game will be.
Not to sound spiteful, but when a game like that with multiple years of pre-release exposure hits, it better have something to show for it.

They've re-designed the controllers since the xbox was released. They're a LOT better now. In fact, it was one of the original reasons I didn't purchase one, myself.

Well, Mr. Killerofall, what kind of computer are you using? Unless you are on a Mac, Microsoft has had some hand in the computer you sat at when you posted that. Would put money on you even using Windows. If the fact that Microsoft made something is a deciding factor against buying an item, that is extremely stupid. Sure, Uncle Billy has boucoup bucks, but he works with Windows and all, and not with the XBox division.

Ok, the controllers do suck, but when I went from games like Doom and Duke Nukem to something along the lines of Counter-Strike, I really hated the whole keyboard + mouse combo. Now, I can't play old games like that because it seems too limited. I spent three hours straight playing Halo a couple years ago (Christmas after it came out, I think). Was the first time I ever touched the bugger, and after I got all the buttons memorized, it was a sinch. If anything, the N64 controlled bugged me the most.

As for the games. Halo is one of the best all-time selling games, of all time. How can you say the games suck in light of that? Yer one of the few, then.

I don't have an XBox. I'm a poor little bastard and put my money into my computer here. But saying that you won't get one because of Microsoft is fucking retarded

And just for the record... I HATE the new S Controller style... Those fucking blow. My hands cramp up after like ten minutes of playing... And I have small hands. I can't play unless I use the huge original style controller.

And if you don't like paying Microsoft for your support, do what I do. My dad owns a vending company in Springfield, MO, so I just used the Mountain Dew points generated from soda machine sales, and bought a lime green Mountain Dew edition Xbox. Didn't pay Microsoft for my support, nor did I pay for Windows XP for a couple of years (I finally broke down and bought the $8.99 edition or whatever it was from the EE department a couple of weeks ago).

You do realize that MS loses money on each X-Box sold, right? They only make money off of the extra hardware, XBL, and games.

Sales are irrelevant and in no way make for a good game. Sure, it's one high-selling game, of all time is questionable, but it's only because it's the most prominent FPS on the XBOX. When a title like that almost monopolizes a genre for a mainstream console, sure, a large amount of people will buy it and play it.

Look at the sales for the computer version. Read something about the Mac version having already gone gold

Not all of the games suck but there arn't enough good games that I like that would give me a good reason to drop $150 on an xbox. I use Windows because most of the programs and games that I use arn't supported by other OS's.

And just for the record... Wal-Mart doesn't have it, and the guy in the electronics section said he has no clue when they will get it. Blockbuster won't get a shipment of it in until 9/17 (Friday), and the only copies Sam Goody has left are all reserved for the people who pre-ordered it.

And since Halo 2 doesn't come out until 11/9 or something, it's basically 7-8 weeks of Fable, then a week of Half-Life 2 (it comes out 11/4 if I remember right), and then Halo 2.
