RELATIVE OF SEN. JOHN KERRY TO SPEAK AT UMR SEPT. 15

Chris Heinz, stepson of democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), will speak on the UMR campus this Wednesday. The visit is organized by the UMR College Democrats.

Heinz will speak at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Hockey Puck, located on the campus mall north of the University Center-West. He will speak about college student involvement in the presidential campaign and the upcoming election.

Heinz is a former venture capitalist who now works as a fundraiser and speaker for the Kerry presidential campaign.

Originally it was going to be at 7:30pm on Tuesday, however campaign scheduling can change at any minute and it did.

I just got back...nice sized crowd showed up, and really the only "heckling" came from a old guy advocating the immediate withdrawl of troops from Iraq....
