Computer either demands a login or throws an access denied to whomever attempts to access my computer.
Any and all advice is welcome. I've tried alot of things. And 'simple' sharing is shut off. This is so I can see NTFS security info on files and folders.
As it is, a shared folder has share access for the 'Everyone' builtin object, and NTFS permissions to read/read+exec/list folder contents.
However since noone can even get access to list my shares, I doubt the folder itself is the issue.
allow anonymous logins: its not an option, and there's too many similar options to that.
Pick from one these, all of which I've already messed with:
* Access this computer from the network. (user list) * Deny access to this computer from the network. (user list) * Network Access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares.(true/false)
Already tried enabling simple sharing, no effect. Still have people getting Access Denied.
