Any Camaro made after, am going to be nice, 1979 aren't great. Tried to make them all flashy and whatnot, and lost a lot of the original body lines and proformance.

Couldn't give me a Camaro made anytime after 1980. Well, would take it, and then just part it out

yeah, i only liked the late 60s, early 70s camaros. my neighbor was working on a 69 SS until he sold it to his son. it was badass. im a ford guy and i like mustangs but i agree they suck when stock. there's nothing worse then a plain-jane-stang. i cant wait for the new mustangs to come out. they look scrum-dilly-umtious. i also cant wait til the new lightnings release. the damn srt-10 gave svt something to work for. it's gonna be great when they drop in the cobra v-10. that bad boy is gonna scream!

well.... durrrr.... ummmm..... ive got a ford aerostar mini van with a 4liter v6, best part about it is the queen sized bed in the back.... oh yea.... lol though i am looking to make the ride a bit sweeter, once i get some income, im redoing the interior completly, getting a new paint job, adding a better sound system then the stock 1992... lol, want to get some subs etc, also thinking bout dropping a pc into the front or something along those lines.

Did anyone see the yellow Ford GT at the career fair today and infront of the ME building tonight? That car was freaking bad...got to sit in it too. It had obvisobly been driven alot....engine bay was dusty, back tires appeared to have been spun a few times

Anyway....last year i drove my hotrod old pickup, '72 Chevy C10. Had a mild 350 in it that i mostly built myself, 9.7:1 compression, mild cam, 2.02/1.6 pocket ported heads, headers/flowmasters, alluminum intake and 4bbl carb. Not really fast, but powerful and alot of fun to drive. Sadly it gets like 12mpg on premium so i don't drive it anymore...

As far as Camaros go, yeah the build quailty ain't that great, but they make great RWD late model hot rods. A LS1 version should run a mid 13 second 1/4 mile stock....a few mods and they get down into the 12's. Easily comptetitive with turbo imports, and beating most without breaking a sweat.

Gotta love those old Camaros. Stocky body, you could just feel the power, even stock. Ford, meh, some of the older 'stangs, or maybe some of the newer concept ones

well I'm glad there are some car people, but apparently there is a lot more assholes. The latest model 4th gen Camaro's are the fastest ever made. They are faster than any big block that ever came out of the factory. They do have some shity features like interior, but for the most part they are actually high quality. I like old Camaro's too, actually I have owned several old muscle cars. I don't have a red SS I have a blue one, but I know which one you are talking about. I don't have anything against four cylinders unless you think its fast. I saw the Ford GT and the 05 Mustang and even though I' not a Ford guy I thought they were pretty cool. 550 hp can change my mind pretty fast. My car runs a 12.8 at 110 and thats with very few things done. If you think you could feel the power of the old camaro's ride in mine. I don't think I will just part it like somebody suggested. He obvuiously doesn't know what he is talking about.
oh yeah I worked a long time to afford my car and if somebody wants to hit it with a hammer they obviously do not know what it is like to work for something. Whoever said that I am from TJ too write back tell me who you are we need to have a talk...

lukecp you seem pretty cool and you know how to build an engine. I have built a couple myself both being small blocks just like you. And you know pretty much exactly what my car ran. I'd like to get to know some people down here that I can talk cars with so if you wanna talk some time maybe drink a few beers let me know...

The bodies on the 80's and later Camaros suck ass. That is what I am basing my opinion on.

I can understand you not liking the style I like the older style too, but you need to work on your people skills. What do you drive? Do you actually know what a late 70's early 80's camaro looks like? because they are really hoosier looking in my opinion. Even the big blocks of that era made under 200 hp because of emmisions requirements. Do you know what big blocks and small blocks are? Sorry late model 2nd gen Camaro's are what you see long haired rednecks driving. I'm not trying to be mean, but you haven't been too kind yourself.

Yeah, I think those Camaros are pretty sleek looking. I wouldn't mind having one myself if I could only afford it.
However, I do prefer my dependable Chevy S-10...
