Ok...so I just downloaded emule. It is having a problem connecting to through my UDP port. How can I fix this? I'm not connected to a router, nor am I running a firewall right now. I'm new to emule so any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Ok, so it just connected to one of my requests. The problem isn't resolved though. And is it always this slow?? It's going at like 900 Bytes/second!!
I used to use it, only problem I had was not being able to connect to the server I wanted to sometimes, but retrying over and over usually gets you connected.
emule is good for finding shit, but it takes forever and a day to actually dl it. typically 700mg=1.5 wks
Yeah...like I said...only want this video...then I'm done with it. And at the rate it's going...Should be done by the time I come back from home on Sunday.

Yes. Azureus blows too. That's why I can't do anything else when I'm using Azureus.
But alas, I'm too lazy to find something better, although everyone seems to like BitComet. I might have to try that.

I tried EDonkey... it was pretty nice. Slow, but nice. I to had connection problems with EDonkey... then I found out that I did not know how to properly run the service in linux. After that... it was great. It has a nice web interface and there is also a KDE frontend.
edit: I also had to do some config changes to get it just right.
unfortunately azureus is about the only fully functional BT client for linux if you want multiple torrents at once. and thats important for some people.
