I have a MSI K7N2 Delta Motherboard and it has a heatsink/fan combo on the northbridge. I'm looking to silence my system more and want to get rid of it and put a zalman passive hs in its place. Does anyone have experience removing these, and if so, what's the procedure for doing so?

I replaced my NB heatsink with a swiftech MCX159, but it was on my P4C800E deluxe. I saw a picture of it online, and it just looks like you have 2 screws or posts that is holding it down. Those posts may be the kind where you just squeeze the ends at the bottom of the mobo and pull it out.

Hopefully its just two plastic pins holding it in. If its "glued" to the northbridge then it will be a little more tricky.

most likely it's the plastic pins you just need to push to have it pop out. But there will be some thermal paste under it so don't pull it off. Just twists back and forth and slide until it comes off.
