Okay guys I have a fix for Sims 2. Its not a cd crack and you will need the original Sims 2.exe which means that some of you will have to reinstall the game. Anyways the fix I have is a mini image that you can mount on Dameon, etc so you won't need the cd. I suppose you could burn this image if you wanted(haven't tried) but the image does give you every aspect of the game and you don't need all the cds or a cd crack.
You can find this Sims 2 mini image in my shared folder \\Tudorowski. Unzip it and then mount it. Then just click the link installed on your desktop or in your program folder for Sims 2. You don't need to do anything else. Also make sure you have the 4 cd version and that it hasn't been messed with (patches cracks) when you do this. This will work for isos to.
Yes I have tried this and yes it works great! You can build, etc. I haven't found anything missing with this fix so far.
ENJOY!!!
If you have any questions just ask.

No this image is so once you have it installed, you can play the full game. Its so you dont need a no-cd crack. Make sure its mounted and then start the game just like you would start any other game. It takes a little longer the load the game up becuase its a smaller image but once your in your good to go. Its like when you install a game you own and it won't play without the cd well this is a virtual image of the cd you need to play with.
I have the sims 2 isos in my shared folder if you want to install the game, but you will need to get a key.
Hope this helped.

Whats the point in mounting this image as opposed to mounting the regular disc1 image. It still offers you the full functionality and no delayed load time.

Yeah it does i believe but i think you have to keep changing discs. This way you don't have to keep changing discs and also if your wanting to get rid of those bin files etc because they are pretty big this is a good alternative.

I've been playing sims 2 for a while now and havent had to change discs since the install. I just mounted the first disc in Alcohol. You don't need to keep the other 3 around if you dont want, just that lil 747mb file.

Okay wasn't sure about the disk thing. Anyways, the main reason i looked for a fix was because my friends who plays Sims 2 also couldn't play on just the cd iso, he said it always crashed. Since getting this image he hasn't had a problem with crashing. That is the main reason I got the image just thought i would share it with those who were having similar problems.
