Think more people should play, and someone should make a dedicated, persistant world server. Know Jack and shit about it myself (Jack left town a long time ago), but am sure with all the smart people here and all the programers, they could figure it out no problemo.

Yes, that'd be cool. I'd play that. Just need to sort out why the game keeps spontaneously asking me 5 times in a row for something off the CD at random points in the game

Make sure you have the latest update, and it shouldn't do that. Could also be if yer running a crack, or off the CD/.iso. The crack could cause the problems, as would a crappy rip or a scratched CD

And no, I don't have any experience with PW building or scripting. I'm pretty much strictly a player, and maybe a DM.

be forewarned, its a BITCH to get any amount of people on a NWN server. especially if they are pirated versions. I have tried many times, and it usually involves lots of re-installing.
yeah, i'll probably try updating... and it's actually retail. I've never had the problem up until I tried to play yesterday. no signifigant changes to anything that'd affect the game

Each new expansion updated it. I bought it a bit after it came out and got like version 1.03 or something. It was flubbed up for me until 1.06 came out. Then, SoU (Shadows of Undrentide) bumped it up to like 1.24, and HotU (Hoardes of the Underdark) set it at 1.60. It is currently at 1.62 (build 2). I usually update it once a week, but they haven't put out any new patches since CEP (Community Expansion Pack, you can find it and the 1.01 patch at http://nwvault.ign.com).
As for pirated, I really don't care if people have it legit or not. Would just be nice to have some sort of UMR server. Since the LAN stuff is fucked and seems to be quite limited as in range, wouldn't be purdent to have a LAN server.
