If anyone is part of a Chem 1 Study group that wouldnt mind having someone else sit in, or wants to form one, I'd appreciate it/would like to, i'm slowly getting lost and the few LEAD sessions i have attended were a joke and have managed to confuse me more

Chem 1 royally blows...I don't understand a damn thing that is going on. The tutoring session that I goto is from 3-5 on thursdays in the chem building rm 139...the teacher who comes in and helps (I don't know his name) is VERY helpful...in my opinion at least, but if more people are interested in forming a study group, or already have one, I would also like to join.

Ah, I remember the joys of Chem I. And of hearing, "The sun is made of iron and I proved it!" every single damn day.

9x = 9 (since x = 0.999...)
x = 1 = 0.99999

Yeah, but Dr. Manuel's Chem 1 class was so incredibly easy. If you looked on his website for the "sample exam," then the exam he gave was an exact duplicate with the exception of maybe two problems that had a couple decimal points moved. That's it. Plus he graded on the 15% scale (100-85% A, 84-70% B, 69-60% C, 59-50% D, <50% F) as opposed to the normal 10% grading scale here.

So it was worth hearing about that theory of Iron all the time.

Yea, besides E.S. Park's econ class that same year, that has to have been the easiest class I've had here.

I miss the days of Chem 1. Back when school was easy. Going to bed a 6am every other night, and still getting 'A's. I tried that shit this year and ended up with a 3.0 midterm. Either I've gotten dumber, or school got harder. Probably a combination of the two.

I hear the new kids talking about how hard Sinn is, and ask them if they're joking. Seriously, go to lecture, and his class is easy. Even if you have to hear him say "Gravity works" everytime he drops something. Granted, I hardly retained anything from that class, but I don't imagine needing it anytime soon. And if the need arises, I know how to look shit up in a book.
