The Cards pitching showed up for about a dozen innings in the playoffs. The Cards' bats went cold. It makes me sick! The only thing that sucks more than the Cards is a vacumecleaner.

I can't believe how poorly the Cardinals played!! They really were a better team than that! Even though I'm a Boston Red Sox fan...I was still hoping the cardinals would win some. After last night's pit-a-ful excuse for a baseball game...didn't think it'd happen.
Yeah....GO RED SOX!!!

Let me the first here to congratulate the Cards on a wonderful season. As an ultimate lifelong fan of the Cards, I was disappointed that they didn't win the series, but I am still thankful for all the wonderful games throughout the year. JUST WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Ok, being a Cards fan, it definitely sucks to see them lose in 4 games. But you have to look on a somewhat positive side. As those "loveable losers" the Cubs say, "there's always next season". Besides, if you look at preseason analysis, the Cards were predicted to be third in the Central Division. Every ESPN analyst picked the Cubs, Astros, or Phillies to make it to the World Series for the NL. The AL on the other hand was mainly the Red Sox and Yanks and maybe an occasional Angels or A's vote thrown in. For the Cards winning 105 games and making it to the WS, it ought to have been "to a stand point" a relatively successful season for them. Now that MLB is over.....if only the NHL could get things going sometime soon, I'd be set.

The only movement in the NHL is that the players are going to Europe to play.

you win some you lose some, too many cardinals fair-weather fans here, and there is always next year.
I dunno how many fair weather Cardinals fans there are out here. Sure, there are bound to be some, but most people who rooted for the Cardinals this year are probably fans for life. I've lived in and around St. Louis all my life so of course I'm a Cardinals fan. What happened is disappointing, to say the least I was pretty pissed, but there is always next year. As long as the Cards can keep most of the people they had this season they are set for next season.
Matt Morris and Edgar Renteria are most likely gone. Mike Matheny will probably be gone too. Best way to fix the problems. Dan Haren takes Morris's spot in the rotation (or hell, give Ankiel another shot like I've been saying) and then shift Tony Womack to shortstop and let Bo Hart take over as the everyday second baseman. And we already have a proven replacement at catcher, Yadier Molina. Besides those moves, the Cards must make every attempt to keep all the other players who are free agents or subject to trade rumors and then next year they will go back to the World Series and win it.
That's how I see it anyway.

yea i firugred renteria was gone, i didnt know about matheny. He is a catching god. Hopefully Womack will be in shape for the season, I know its a long ways off but you never know. And I agree they need to give Ankiel more innings.
