Haha....he did get my vote in the primaries though. Wanted to vote for the guy who wouldn't win and had no special-intrest supporters :D

Hopefully all this crap will be over by Wendsday, if we get a clear winner anyway.

On this subject, I thought it very interesting in the primaries how the less of a platform a canidate had, the further along that person went. Kucinich, with a very complete platform (that I agreed with much more than other democrats) stood almost no chance. Therefor, I will conclude that the best way to go from being a primary canidate to the party's choice is to say as little about one's platform as possible.

i find it interesting how bush always seems to be slightly ahead in these polls, even though if you read the political threads, 80% of the posts seem to be ripping him apart.

that's called a "vocal minority" and they are usually unrepresentative of the opinions of the majority, minority, or the facts.

Bush: terd sandwich
Kerry: giant douche
Nader: bloody tampon

So, looks like it's a choice between a terd sandwich, a giant douche, and let's throw in a bloody tampon, just for spice

that's because people who post on popular internet forums are generally the people that nationwide political polls don't capture well. a big percentage of that is the young adults that MTV and the likes are urging to vote. much of this audience is likely to vote for Kerry simply because "he's not Bush".

It has worked well in the past, "vote for FDR because he's not Hoover". And now it's vote Kerry because he's not Bush. Which you can not for sure say that it won't work out.

Is there going to be a place on campus for people registered in Rolla to vote? I thought I had heard that there was going to be something like that, but I'm not sure.
